Super excited, we pack our props, standees and organic oils for the event. The sun’s out and the day is really hot but who cares, we are overjoyed to showcase our products at the organic market, that too for the first time. With spirits as high as the moon, we reach the venue and start setting up our stall. Yay paseena saaf kia, wo pani piya aur kartay kartay the stall is ready. We were so sure the Lahoris are gonna love the pure, chemical free oils, but who knew?
So our first customer walks in, “Umm yay kia hai?”
Us: “Maam yay pure organic oils hain, chemical free and cold pressed. We have 5 products;

  1. Coconut oil
  2. Almond oil

    And two exclusive herbal oil

Customer: “nai, Abhi nai, laikin wapasi par zeroooooooooor loon gi”

Khair we didn’t lose hope but surely our spirits descended from the moon to the star. Bohat garmi thi n bohat say customer’s aey, samples liyay aur “Allah Hafiz” but the commotion at the food stalls was commendable. Matlab itna rush? Hum Oils walay bol bol dead laikin food stalls walo k “mazay he mazay”

Skincare is all about using the right product and keeping away from all the harmful chemicals that may give temporary results but are harmful in the long run. I always prefer natural over chemical, whether it be Skin masks, Serums or Hair oils.

Carrier Oils and their Benefits

Nowadays Carrier Oils, Essential oils, and Serums are the most talked about natural solutions to many skin and hair ailments. The reason being their natural healing power with almost zero side effects.

What are Carrier Oils?

Carrier Oils are extracted from seeds, nuts, or kernel of plants. Because of their therapeutic (healing of disease) properties, they are widely used in massages, baths, cosmetics, and medicinal applications.

Carrier Oils generally contain fat-soluble vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other nutrients and can be applied directly to your skin and hair, unlike essential oils. They improve the look and feel of your skin and hair by adding moisture, soothing irritation, and reducing the effects of dryness. The choice of a Carrier Oil is dependent on the desired result.

The extraction process has a super impact on the nutrients of these oils hence try looking for Cold-pressed Carrier oils as this extraction practice is chemical-free and the outcome is cleaner, purer oils that are higher in natural colors and scents.

Almond Oil- For a Healthy Looking Skin

Like many, I am a huge fan of Almond Oil too and mostly love mixing it with Rosewater. I use it as a moisturizer before bedtime and let it stay until morning. I love how my skin feels super soft and looks all glowy and fresh. But lemme tell you the struggle to find pure Almond Oil is real.

I have tried many branded Almond Oils that talk about purity but why are they so ineffective and don’t work as good. Obviously, because they are mixed with something (something they don’t mention) and are impure. Impure Oils are real pain in the gut and unless you are not sure about a certain brand and its authenticity never use it. Never! Please!

Hopefully, if you do come across Pure Almond Oil(extracted from sweet almonds) brace yourself and then BUY IT. Almond Oil is gold for your skin and in case you want to know what I use, its Scalp By Simky’s Almond Oil and simply love how the oil makes my skin feel.

Vitamin E

Almond Oil is super rich in Vitamin E and works as a shield for your skin.
A shield that fights harmful UV rays from entering your skin and protects the collagen layer. It is this layer that keeps your skin young-looking and healthy, and protecting it slows down the aging process and prevents wrinkles and fine lines.

Fatty Acids

Almond oil has loads of fatty acids and let’s just say more fatty acids equals more moisture content. So for all those who have chapped lips and dry irritated skin, this oil is your one-stop-shop natural solution.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A can help reduce acne. This oil can easily get into your skin and clean up the dirt that has accumulated in there. (just like a vacuum cleaner sucking in all the dirt). This prevents blackheads and acne from developing.

Cleansing Tip: Take a cotton pad and dab 2-3 drops of almond oil with 1tsp of Rosewater, gently rub on your skin for 2 mins and wash it off with water. (you are welcome 🙂 )

So you see, this Miracle Oil is packed with Vitamins and Nutrients and is a natural source to keep your skin clear and healthy. I always prefer natural over chemical-based as it has more pros and almost zero cons.
And the healing power works 100 times better if you believe it’ll work.

And so for next time :

  • Choose Pure, Real Almond Oil
  • Apply it at Night
  • Believe it’ll Work

Take care,

This is what is use for my skin, Scalp by Simky’s Pure Almond Oil

We Tried Hakeem ka Oil too

Simky is my Ami’s nickname and we go by the name “Scalp by Simky”

We all have been through the struggle of getting perfect, shiny healthy hair but let’s just say that in this world full of impure oils and fake supplements the struggle is real.

Just about two years ago my Ami got a keratin treatment done from a renowned salon in DHA which turned out to be a disaster. She experienced massive, massive hair fall, lost most of her hair and her scalp got all itchy and dry. I can’t tell you how distressing it was. (God I have tears in my eyes already) :”(
We tried and tested several hair oils and treatments from Hakeem k oils to protein treatments but nope, all temporary, nothing worked.

My Ami since childhood has been super fond of experimenting Herbs and Carriers oils and it was then when she came up with what we now call the “Anti-Breakage Oil”. She used that oil religiously for two years and the results were miraculous. Her scalp healed up and regained its strength, new hair grew and the rest regained shine and volume. Woah! (Wish I had better words to describe how awesome this discovery was.)

In these 2 years, we did extensive research on herbs and oils and got it tested after which she introduced this oil to help all those experiencing hair and scalp issues and not just that, she also brought in pure Coconut, Almond Sesame, and Anti Dandruff Oil.
My mom is the driving force behind Scalp by Simky and I am just a tiny miny source helping her pursue her passion.
We wish to introduce pure goodness of natural oils for you to make the best decision for your hair, skin, and health.
YOU MATTER, CHOOSE WISELY!
Take care!
Love,
